Who are we?
MindWalk is a global biologics discovery company integrating Bio-native AI, deep data, and advanced lab research to accelerate discovery and development of therapeutic, anti-drug and diagnostic antibodies, peptide-based therapies, vaccines and beyond.
MindWalk Holdings Corp., including its affiliates ImmunoPrecise Antibodies (Canada) Ltd. d/b/a MindWalk Biologics Ltd. and BioStrand BV d/b/a MindWalk, (collectively "MindWalk", "we" or "us", and, where relevant, your potential employer in the MindWalk group), acts as the “data controller” for any personal information you provide in connection with your application. This means MindWalk is responsible for determining how your personal data is held and used. In accordance with European data protection laws, we are required to inform you about the information we collect and process, as outlined in this applicant privacy notice.
Purpose of this notice
This notice explains how your personal data is used when you apply for a job or submit an application for recruitment purposes.
It also outlines how you can exercise your rights, including the right to object to certain types of data processing. Details about these rights and the steps to exercise them are provided in the “Your Rights” section below.
If you have any additional questions after reading this notice, please contact your local HR representative or email hr@mindwalkai.com.
How do we use your information?
We use the details you provide to evaluate your application, assess your qualifications, and perform eligibility checks when required, in accordance with the law and equal opportunities policies.
Your data is processed to support our legitimate interests in handling recruitment and taking necessary steps prior to entering into a contract at your request. If a role of interest requires background screening, you will be informed.
When needed, your information may also be used to obtain professional advice and to help us meet our legal obligations.
For each application or information you submit, we will let you know if supplying the requested data is mandatory for progressing your application or if it is optional.
Except for personal data collected for contract purposes, you have the right to object to our processing of your data at any time.
How long do we keep this information?
We typically retain information provided by job applicants for the duration necessary to complete the recruitment process and decision. If applicable, your information may also be kept for consideration for future positions within the MindWalk group.
If your application is successful, relevant details will be used to manage your employment and will be stored and processed according to our Employee Privacy Notice, which will be provided to you when you start your employment.
With whom might we share your data?
To facilitate the recruitment process, your information may be shared with relevant MindWalk group entities, including HR teams, line managers, or employees responsible for the position for which you have applied, as well as with authorized service providers and professional advisers (such as recruitment agencies, background check providers, candidate assessment suppliers, or email hosting providers).
If it is necessary to verify the information you have provided—such as when there are indications of inaccuracy and no alternative means of confirmation—we may contact third parties you have identified for this purpose (such as referees) to confirm details relating to your previous employment and qualifications.
In addition, your information may be shared with other third parties under the following circumstances:
· where disclosure is required by law;
· where you have given consent;
· where it is necessary to enforce our terms of use, protect our rights or property, or those of a third party;
· or in relation to a potential or actual sale of our business or assets, in which case your details may be disclosed to advisors and prospective purchasers’ advisors and transferred to new owners.
To where might we transfer your data?
Some of the information you provide with your employment application may be shared with other MindWalk affiliates (see list at https://www.mindwalkai.com/company/locations) or service providers located outside of the European Economic Area ("EEA"), as needed to process your application. These countries may include, but are not limited to, those where MindWalk operates and the countries where our service providers are based or maintain data centres, such as Canada or the United States.
To protect your data during such transfers, we implement a range of protection measures, including European Commission (read more here) adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses (read more here) and the Binding Corporate Rules that have been adopted by some of our suppliers (read more here). For additional details about these safeguards, please contact us using the information provided in the section “If you have any questions about your data.”
Your Rights
You are entitled to request a copy of your personal data at any time. If you have provided personal data electronically and it is held by us for the purposes of entering into a contract or based on your consent, you may request to receive this information in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format to facilitate its re-use or transfer to other organizations.
Should you believe that any personal data we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you may request that we correct or complete it. Under certain circumstances, you also have the right to object to our processing of your data, request restrictions on its use, or ask for its deletion.
Where we seek your consent for a specific use of your data, we will inform you of your right to withdraw consent at any time as well as the process for doing so. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the legality of any processing conducted prior to the withdrawal.
Certain restrictions apply to these rights: for instance, deletion may not be possible if we are legally required to retain your data or if it is necessary for an ongoing contract. Access to your data may also be limited if disclosure would compromise the privacy of another individual or if prohibited by law.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details provided in the section “If you have any questions about your data.”
If you have unresolved issues or concerns, you may also lodge a complaint with the relevant national data protection authority in the jurisdiction of the MindWalk entity with which you are interacting.
